- Refugee Experiences: an in-depth examination of different instances of displacement of people in and from Ukraine since the Second World War, in comparison with other refugee experiences, such as that of Germans from Eastern Europe.
- Societal Impact: what are the effects of displacement on population dynamics, economic innovation, and the evolution of social values?
- Role of Churches: what is the role of churches and religious communities in refugee accommodation and the transformation of values and social relations?
