Ukraine’s European integration requires the further harmonisation of Ukrainian corporate law with the standards of the European Union. The Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU provides an important legal framework for this process, requiring the approximation of Ukrainian legislation to relevant EU acquis.
At the same time, the implementation of EU standards involves not only formal legislative changes but also the effective adaptation of European legal concepts and corporate governance practices to the Ukrainian legal system, drawing on the experience of EU Member States and candidate countries.
The conference will examine the challenges and prospects of this harmonisation process, with particular attention to legal transplants and their role in achieving EU compatibility.
This conference is part of the Ukrainian Week in Germany, initiated by the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies.
