Call for Applications: 2026 International Conference "Ukrainian as Foreign Language in the Dimensions of Today"

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

the call for applications for the International Conference: "UKRAINIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN THE DIMENSIONS OF TODAY" is open.

The conference will be hosted by the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv on April 23–25, 2026.

This event is particularly significant as it marks the 30th Anniversary of the Department of Ukrainian Applied Linguistics.

Conference Areas of Focus

Submissions addressing, but not limited to, the following topics are welcome:

1. Ukrainian Language in Space and Time: Historical, Theoretical, and Applied Aspects.

2. Standardization and Certification of Ukrainian as a Foreign Language.

3. Ukrainian Language in a Multicultural and Multilingual Environment.

4. Current Issues in Methodology of Teaching Phonetics, Lexicology, and Grammar of Ukrainian as a Foreign Language.

5. Linguistic, Cultural Studies and Problems of Intercultural Communication.

6. Ukrainian as a Foreign Language and Teaching its Skills.

7. Educational and Methodological Toolkit for Teaching Ukrainian to Foreigners.

8. Methodology of Teaching Ukrainian as a Foreign (Heritage, Second) Language to Children.

9. Digital and Corpus Technologies, Artificial Intelligence in Teaching Ukrainian.

10. Innovative Didactic Practices in Teaching Ukrainian as a Foreign Language.

11. Teaching Ukrainian in Crisis Situations.

• Registration: December 5, 2025, Complete Registration Form
• Article Submission (for publication): December 5, 2025
• Publication: Selected articles will be published in the academic journal “Theory and Practice of Teaching Ukrainian as a Foreign Language” (Category B) No. 20 in 2026.
